Dave King in December– at the Black Dog and Dakota

Live jazz in the Twin Cities metro! The Jazz Police calendar is updated at least weekly. And we’re continuing “Andrea’s Picks.”

Marilyn Maye

Lots of Holiday and Solstice celebrating as we head to the end of 2019: The great Marilyn Maye returns with her holiday special at Crooners Lounge (December 15-16); Red Planet orbits again at the Black Dog (December 16); JazzMN Orchestra brings in Yolande Bruce to celebrate the holidays (December 16); Laura Caviani salutes the Solstice in the Dunsmore Jazz Room while down the hall, Charmin Michelle and Sam Miltich bring their holiday show to the main stage at Crooners (December 17); Arne Fogel and the Acme Jazz Company bring their jazzy holiday fare to Crooners Main Stage (December 18); and Winter comes in with a double header of stars at the Black Dog: Dave King, John Raymond and Chris Morrissey open for the Zacc Harris Group (December 21). Have plans for New Year’s Eve? Note: Connie Evingson in the Dunsmore Jazz Room; Central Standard Time and guests at the Black Dog; Maryann Sullivan and the Moneymakers in the Rebel Room; Joel Shapira and Sheridan Zuther at The Lexington (December 31).
