Andy will be playing a mix of styles ranging across the history of improvisational music, including works from Thelonious Monk, Dexter Gordon, Tom Harrell, Walter Smith III, Nicholas Payton, and more.

Andy Peterson, Duluth based saxophonist, is bringing his Quartet for another appearance at Jazz Central Studios. Andy Peterson brings a new and modern sound to the tenor, while still paying homage to the masters through the history of the music. Just a few weeks ago, Andy completed his bachelors degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Andy has studied under many national and local teachers, including Marcus Strickland, Ryan Frane, Scott Johnson, Geoff Senn, and Joe Mayo.
