Early Evening Jazz: Jazz Flux

Ousmon Dubwise (bass/vocals) and Jamill Shaw (tenor saxophone) of Milwaukee’s Jazz Flux bring their tunes to the Twin Cities.

Jazz Flux is a group of several of Milwaukee’s most active jazz musicians. A love of jazz has driven this group to cocreate and maintain one of America’s great musical traditions. The group derives its unique sound from hip-hop, R&B, and pop and incorporates elements of those genres into performances of traditional jazz. Beyond their musical influences, the band’s performances are distinguished by high energy: a byproduct of their passion for music and friendship with one another.
