Peter Kogan backed up Blues masters Lightnin’ Hopkins, Floyd Jones and Honeyboy Edwards, appeared with the Larry Elgart Big Band and played with jazz, rock and blues bands in New York City before joining The Minnesota Orchestra as Principal Timpanist from 1986 – 2015.
In recent years he has released 3 well reviewed CDs, and his Monsterful Wonderband (the Septet), Quintet and Quartet have appeared at all the major jazz venues around Minneapolis and St Paul, MN. Peter’s new CD: JUST BEFORE MIDNIGHT was just released in April and features his most recent compositions.
